Meticulous Perfectionist Chris is a meticulous perfectionist and the three windows he has fitted for our old house reflect this in spades !! They look immaculate. Chris himself is highly professional in all that he does, completely reliable and accommodating. We could not recommend him more highly. His skill and workmanship are impressive, a true master craftsman with attention to detail. He is a tidy worker and has great ideas to make the best of space.

By Alison W Fair & Professional Chris Allum did several projects for us, all of which were carefully considered and planned in consultation with us. The biggest project was a large bespoke understairs unit consisting of a coat cupboard, and 4 sizeable pull-out drawers. The whole unit is a substantial piece of furniture with design features we could not have considered ourselves, creating maximum use of space. Chris was a pleasure to have working in the house. There were no issues that needed resolving, but had there been I am confident that Chris would have been fair and professional.
By Liz We are delighted with the results. Our weatherboarding was old and rotting and Chris Allum came highly recommended as the man to sort it. He popped round, measured up and made suggestions. He then brought samples of the weatherboarding for us to choose from. There were other jobs - replacing windows, guttering, building a door and more - which we planned to get done later. Chris was happy to take it all on. He gave us a quote and then simply got on with it - highly skilled, professional and always with a smile. It was all carried out swiftly and to a very high standard. We are delighted with the results.
By Chris & Pam Very Clear and Concise After moving to East Sussex a few years ago, we had been looking for a joiner/carpenter for some bespoke work to be carried out in our home. On looking we came across Chris Allum's site and on reading Chris's profile on being a member of the Guild of MasterCraftsman and looking at some ofhis previous projects we decided to contact him. On meeting Chris his knowledge is wide and varied being a time-served joiner/carpenter he was very clear and concise in the description of the work we needed and provided us with a sensible costing and timeframe. His work is first class and gentlemen in dealing with, we will definitely be using his services again in the future, once planning permission has been granted. We couldn't recommend him highly enough.
